Shooting the catering menu for Curry Up Now

It’s always nice when you want to learn more about a certain style of shooting then stumble upon the opportunity to get a real world experience and test the waters.

That’s what I got when my fiancée asked if I would shoot the catering menu for Curry Up Now. Perviously I’ve had fun shooting the odd brunch we have made or the more attractive meals we have been out but I’ve never had the chance to shoot food in a commercial setting with my DSLR.

Set up Simple

All these shots have natural light from two large windows in the store and mostly all hand held. For the top down shots I just stood on a chair. No huge tripod set up here.

I was super pleased with how all of these shots come out and seeing them be used all over Curry Up Now’s networks has been surprisingly motivating todo more shoots like this.
