I must have taken about 12 rolls of film since moving to San Francisco in August (2013) and almost all of them sat undeveloped on my desk until this week, I grabbed a few gave them to my trusty Walgreens. It’s allot more fun to get film developed when you have no idea what you are about to see.
“Why the hell would you get Walgreens to develop your film?” You ask. Because it’s cheap, fast, I’m fairly impatient and I think the grain is awesome. Sorry film nerds.
These rolls contain a bunch of great photos from a weekend trip I took with Zach and Aaron to Kirby Cove.
This little adventure was also a good opportunity to walk the Golden Gate bridge. Something I had been wanting to do for a long time. As to be expected for a Saturday afternoon it was a tourist trap, I think my head makes an appearance in about 2394834895 peoples vacation photos.
What are these photos about? (Optional)
There is a small hike to get to down to Kirby Cove but you are able to get your eyeballs on stunning views of the bay area the whole time. The trail is about one mile and fairly steep.
Kirby Cove is actually pretty surprising in a few different ways. For one it’s pretty tiny but in an adorable way and I was really surprised that it was not packed with people. Just one of those lesser known beaches I guess.
There was a few families hanging out but it felt very tranquil and completely removed from the vibes of the other beaches in the area like Ocean and Baker beach.
The coolest thing (and ironically the only thing I did not take a photo of) was the fact their was freaking seal just chilling on the beach the whole time we were there.
You can find out more form the parks department right here.
The views of the city were not terrible.
