I’m a sucker for a well designed hotel and ones with stories are even better. This past weekend we visited The Coachman in South Lake Tahoe. A hotel created from the joining of two 50’s motels and refurbished to the nines into one of the most aesthetically pleasing (and affordable) hotels I’ve ever stayed in.
Even with after being refurbished their honeymoon suite still has a reto heart shaped bath tub. Pretty cool. The hotels pool and hot tub opens this summer so I guess that’s my silly excuse to go back.

You can get some complimentary smores once the fires are lit outside the lobby.
A beautiful little corner of South Lake Tahoe just a 20 min drive away. Sadly 0 bears spotted.
This house in Tahoma caught my eye while we were past Emerald Bay.
