I’ve not seen a whole lot of American let alone it’s roads or wilderness. So when we had the idea of driving from Portland to Seattle via the 101, traveling through the Oregon/Washington landscape I jumped at the chance. For those interested in our route you can find the Google Maps link here.
The drive ended up taking around 9 hours due to how many times we stopped to marvel at the landscapes.
One important surprise stop we made that I did not take photos of was the Tillamook Cheese factory. It was awesome you should visit
My home little place in England called The Forest Of Dean. As the name suggested it’s densely green and forest heavy area. It’s damp, cold and incredibly beautiful during the spring and summer. Since I’ve lived in California I’ve had the opportunity visit some incredible forests but they have always felt dry to me since I grew up around such moist greenery (and a place where it trains ALOT).
There is a certain fresh scent that a mossy damp forests gives out that reminds me of home and these forests certainty provided that.
What are these photos about?
The first sign of the coast we hit after leaving Portland was the Port Of Garibaldi.
Obligatory Instagram photos were posted.
Keep it weird Portland I think I want to live in you.
