Sarah came to visit me last weekend and one thing I've always wanted todo since getting to San Francisco was to hike up Mt. Davidson, and that we did. I never really understood how to get there (and neither did our cab driver) but 20 mins of very wiggly roads later we were at foot of the mountain.
Mount Davidson is actually the highest natural point in San Francisco,(928 feet) and is pretty much in the geographical center of the entire city.
What are these photos about? (Optional)
San Francisco.
This did not stop Slim swinging on it. Sorry not sorry dead tree.
Twin Peaks & Sutro Tower.
Yup, at top of Mount Davidson there is a huge cross. A 103 foot tall concrete cross that is completely wild to be stood under. Fun fact: Director Don Siegel filmed a scene from the 1971 movie Dirty Harry at this very spot.
My hometown (The Forest Of Dean, UK) is a heavily wooded area and since moving I've kinda missed the moist, earthy smell of trees and greenery. The walk back down the Mt. provided me with some familiar sights, smells and sounds that almost felt like home for a second.
Hair flick is strong.
